Mr Hayes

About a month ago P4 helped an old man who was a victim of a home robbery we held a bake sale which we sold home baking for 50c and we then brought in a thoughtful item to add to our 'care package' Mrs Bocock then delivered the bake sale money and the care package to Mr Hayes small flat along with the help of four P4 students Anais(me), Bridget, Thomas and Brad. Mr Hayes was close to tears and was delighted with the hard work P4 had done for him. It felt really nice to help someone and we experianced a warm glow in our hearts from helping him. It was truly AMAZING!

The New Playground!

Mokoia has recently had a BRAND NEW adventure playground put in and all the students are loving it! There is a massive space net and monkeys bars along with all sorts of other bits and bobs that make it extroidanaryily AWESOME!!! I LOVE IT.

Athletics Day

It was athletics day about a week ago and there were events that ranged from discus, shot put and criket throw to high jump, long jump and running 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and 800 metres. I came 3rd  in 100 metre sprints final and Tarawera year 7 girls relay came 2nd (I was the 2nd runner!)  It was a great day and i think it brought the school together as well as having a friendly little house compitition! I really enjoyed it!!!

WAR

Pale , lifeless corpses  sprawled bloodied on the ground
The rotten stench of ash and hot embers as I crawl along the dusty trenches
The pounding drum beat of bombs bursting in my ear
Abandoned and alone with endless, repeating worries circling around in my gashed head
The stubborn, bitter blood oozes across my taste buds
I think this is war!
