The Ride

I don’t know how long I have waited for this day to arrive.  Ever since I was 4 years old I have wanted to ride a horse, now as my 8th birthday loomed it couldn’t have been a better time to pester Mum to let me go to a riding school.

It is seven days until my birthday and I still have not won reasoning with my mother to let me go to a riding school. As I slumbered down stairs in my normal hand me down pony pj’s, I was mentally planning my game plan of winning Mum over to let me go riding with my BFF Bethany Parker who’s mum owns a riding academy in the north country of New Zealand. For me this is a golden opportunity for me to ride a horse, but to my mother a horse is none other than a brutal killing machine that is a pest to the universe.
“Mum please! “My plan was not working so far and my mum couldn’t have been more stubborn.
“I am sorry Carman but it’s just not safe without me” and then I saw my chance
“Yes, Yes, Yes, Mum you can come Mrs Parker said you could come if you wished I just remembered, please mum give it a go I beg of you! “
“Oh dear Carman I can see how much this means to you dear and I guess I’ll do it, but on one condition that you follow all safety conditions!”
“Yes mum I promise, thank you so much!” As I ran up the stairs exhausted of talking I thought of the thrilling adventure just waiting for me at Bethany’s farm!
It was the big day, in 2 minutes and 43.1 seconds I would be 8!
I smiled and stepped into the stunning stable owned by Bethany Parker a.k.a my BFF
Here I thought to myself is where the real story begins…

What Am I?

You will find me in the deepest parts of the ocean,

in freshwater and terrestrial destinations.

Scientists have estimated about

120, 000 of me still contentedly living.

I normally eat krill and other trivial particles.

I have a hard shell like protection to defend my back from

predators.

I have been known to be extremely ugly by judgemental

fishermen and scientists.

If it wasn’t for me the ocean would be a different place.

What Am I?

Bio Poem

Creative, Horse mad and Artistic
 Wishes to be invisible
Dreams of going to the Olympics
Wants to be an international horse rider
Who wonders how the World began
Who fears dying and getting injured
Who is afraid of sharks, zombies and blood
Who likes reading and caring for my pets
Who believes in heaven
Who loves animals, lollies and my family
Who plans to own a stud
                                              I’m glad I am myself!

Creepy Creature

You would not have heard of this creature because it is so exotic, you wouldn't have seen it either. The  Karribloore, a.k.a. Hotblood is a different animal altogether. It would be a miracle if you ever saw one.
Appearance:
The Karribloore is an extraordinary sight with its hefty ears. They are able to intercept sound within 4 kilometres of the area around them. Another fascinating sense is their bulging eyes can see just as well at night as during the day which comes in handy as they never sleep. They are the vampire of all animals! Their teeth are carved bone. You can tell their gender very easily by looking at their teeth. Their fur is matted and it is dim grey and straw- like. Karribloores are normally very small and petite. They have very sleek and skinny fingers which help them to delicately pick their food.
Diet:
A Karribloore’s typical diet is a nutritional one filled with nuts and juicy tropical fruit. They do not eat any meat and they are vegetarians. They occasionally eat some juju plants for protein and very rarely will snack on some bark.
Habitat:
The Karribloore’s destination is unknown and supposedly very sunny as they don’t handle the cold very well. Scientists predict they will be found to live somewhere on a tropical island.
Predators:
The Karribloore’s predators are very straightforward as it’s any animal that wants to have a small, meaty treat. The Karribloore is commonly eaten by roaming rabid hawks.
Life cycle:
Karribloores have a very unusual life cycle. When the mother Karribloores (called Luvits) get pregnant they lay their eggs on a piece of moss and then all the bacteria bases its energy on the egg and forms a sort of barrier around it. Then the egg hatches into the beautifully ugly creature that’s living today.
So as you can see Karribloores live an intriguing life.  I hope you have learnt more about this extraordinary animal.
